Warm Up/COP

Gather in the Western parking lot due to unexpected closure of the Toyota Center and surrounding environs. Disruption taken in stride – literally – as we started with a ~1 mile Mosey through the empty streets of Bellaire before heading to the town square.

The Thang

Crowd favorite – the Burpee Broad Jump across BTS. Repeat x 2 with recovery jogs and then x 1 more with bear-crawls on the finish.

New exercise: The Jay-Z. Hold plank position, brush shoulders off.

Time for BLIMPS, which felt more like Hindenbergs in the heat/humidity. At this point the Accuweather Real Feel heat index suggested that working out on the surface of the sun would have been a refreshing alternative.

Each BLIMPS exercise was “recovered” by a jog/sprint combo around BTS.

YHC told a long, convoluted, minimally-interesting story about a dog movie and an alcoholic abusive dad and somehow intended for this to serve as encouragement to post for workouts and EH new guys. Story effectiveness rating = D minus. At least it wasn’t an F.
