15 Pax, including a solid 3 FNGs, posted at The Kingdom for the 2nd Saturday workout (WO) in KATY. It really was an honor to be a participant in these early beginnings of what will surely be a glorious future in KATY, and I encourage everyone in our other AOs to head west and post with these fine warriors!

This was YHC’s 2nd posting at The Kingdom and 1st Q there. Bringing in a good mix was first priority, and not necessarily trying new Q-tricks… therefore, YHC borrowed heavily from his first Q at The Trinity those first few workouts down south after League City’s Launch. After double checking nobody else was at that same WO – the thang progressed as follows…


The weather app claimed it “Feels like 71″ – but not sure that is physically possible when the next line down says HUMIDITY IS 98% ?!??  It also says, the Pressure was at 30.04” – but let’s not pretend that is even a real thing – or if it is, I have no idea of its importance.


YHC is not a professional. F3 workouts are voluntary and FREE – you are here voluntarily #YouAgainstYou. Modify as needed. Several FNGs, so re-stressed the previous point and reminded them there is nobody to sue here. Notify the Q or rest of Pax of any serious medical conditions, or if “feeling funny anywhere” …  #PushYourselfButDontHurtYourself.

The Thang

Moseyed few yards over towards the Shovel Flags (SF) to start our COP…


  • SSH x 30 IC
  • Burpees x 5 OYO
  • Lunges x 10 IC
  • Imperial Walkers x 15 IC
  • Merkins x 20 IC
  • Plank Jacks x 25 IC
  • Slow Squats x 30 IC

Congratulations – you have just completed a BLIMPS. Remember these exercises – you will see them again. Partner up 1/2s, and line up for Double Applesauce (DA)…

Moseyed to the crosswalk and plank for the green light, cross the street and Mosey to the Elementary School’s Quarter Mile Track for a ‘String of Pearls’: laps with pain stations.

Mosey one round, then perform each of the following 4 exercises with your partner:

1 – P1 does ‘Big Boy Situps’ x5 while P2 holds the ‘Not So Lazy Boys’
– Alternate until 30 for each partner by 5s
2 – P1 does Hand-Release Merkins x5 while P2 holds the Plank
– Alternate until 30 for each partner by 5s
3 – P1 does Imperial Walkers x5 while P2 holds the Al Gore
– Alternate until 30 for each partner by 5s
4 – P1 does Monkey Humpers (MH) x5 while P2 holds the down MH position
– Alternate until 30 for each partner by 5s

Halfway through the first lap… STOP… we “accidentally” run into a Pullup Bar station. Line up and hold the Al Gore while each Pax performs at least 5 pull-ups, more if possible. TClaps for Carburetor for really pushing himself on this one! TAPs to both Training Wheels and Locksmith who both did not see the low pullup bars nearby and banged head-first into the iron bars! YHC considers it a Q-fail for not alerting the Pax – sincere apologies!!!

Mosey back to SFs parking log for some BLIMPS. Jailbreak (“You Against You”) back and forth between two parking lot lines, stop for exercise at each end, Jailbreak back to starting point for the next exercise – Rinse & Repeat until completed:

  • Burpees x 5 OYO
  • Lunges x 10 OYO (each leg)
  • Imperial Walkers x 15 OYO
  • Merkins x 20 OYO
  • Plank Jacks x 25 OYO
  • Slow Squats x 30 OYO

Rinse & Repeat from the top until everyone has completed.

Short Mosey back to SFs for more COP:

  • Howling Monkeys: we made it 3 full rounds before time was up, well done Pax!

TAPs to KFC, and his daughter Ava, DR today at hospital continuing the strong fight! TAPs also to Knobb Creek and his M – along with her family who lost her uncle this week! Cruiser reminded us all to be careful out there, listen to our bodies, and share with the Pax if you ever feel your body telling you ANYTHING. TAPs was shared with Cruiser and Big Wheel’s family!!

YHC took us out asking for strength for us to remember the glorious times spent with our loved ones and not to dwell in their loss. To remember and focus on the love and the great times spent together.


As mentioned earlier, YHC took great pleasure Q’ing this 3rd WO at The Kingdom (2nd Saturday)! I encourage EVERYONE to head west and post for the WOs, but also to head west and take the Q. There are lots of warriors in Katy who will undoubtedly take up the Q soon themselves, but they can always benefit from the variety of different Qs from the other AOs.

The Howling MHs at the end are always a nice ending, and pushing a few more rounds gave us a good finale. Great work by all, especially with the Partner work. Everyone pushed themselves, but I heard a lot of good support out there and it is good to keep pushing each other and ourselves, as always, to be better men! We are here to support and push each other! We are here for all 3 Fs!!

SAD CLOWN: A man who seeks external Happiness rather than internal Joy.
