• When: 06/03/17
  • QIC: Camo
  • The PAX: Britney, Cowboys (R), Fire n Ice (R) , Inferno, Cruiser (RR), Canon, TP

YHC is not a professional and doesn’t even play one on TV!  You are here by your own free will.  #PushYourselfButDontHurtYourself .  Modify as needed. #YouAgainstYou   The Q directed PAX to notify Canon of any serious medical conditions because he already had a not-so-serious bleeding condition himself.

Not so hot, around 74 degrees.  But oh so wet.  Houston wrapped us up like a warm wet blanket this am.

Circle up around the shovel flags

  • SSH x25 IC, accelerating to Energizer Bunny speed
  • Abe Vigoda x 10 IC, brisket style (low and slow)
  • Grass Grabbers x10 IC
  • LBAC forward x 10 IC
  • LBAC backward x 10IC

#The Thang

Mosey over to the Pool Lot.   Line the PAX out on the parking lot stripes, partner up.  Britney drew the short straw with YHC!

Workout 1: Wheel Barrow relay

Round 1:

  • Carolina Dry Docks x 15 IC
  • Wheelbarrow to Peace Pipe
  • Hand clap BB sit ups x 25
  • Partner flap jack, wheel barrow back

Round 2:

  • Carolina Dry Docks x 10 OYO
  • Wheelbarrow to Peace Pipe
  • Incline Merkins x 15 OYO
  • Partner flap jack, wheel barrow back

Round 3:

  • Carolina Dry Docks x 10 OYO (Triceps are starting to talk back; PAX have stopped)
  • Wheelbarrow to Peace Pipe
  • Derkins x 10 OYO
  • Partner flap jack, wheel barrow back (Shoulders talking back too)

Mosey to the pool water spot for some high quality H2O.  The time of hydration focus is upon us!

On to the pool playground wall.  Extremely low levels of #MumbleChatter now.

  • Side step up skull crushers x 20 Each Leg IC
  • Box Jumps x 10 OYO

Mosey to Memorial Field.  At this point another 10 count was called around a picnic table, and it was agreed the air was offering negative oxygen this morning.   (Yes that’s a thing; blame Camp Gladiator).

Workout 2: Hunters Extravaganza

The Roo Hunter: P1 (the roo) takes off from the start line Kangaroo hopping towards the end as fast as possible.  P2 (the Hunter) does 5 Merkins, sprints after the Roo, tags and bags ‘em, then partner carries back to the Start line.  Partner Flapjack and repeat.

The Deer Hunter: P1 takes off running from the start line towards the end.  P2 does 3 Burpees, sprints after the deer, T&B, and partner carries back to the Start line.  Partner Flapjack and repeat.

The Bear Hunter: Pax starts at the mid field line.  P1 bear crawls towards end at the quick step.  P2 sprints back to start line, then sprints after the bear.  T&B, then (you guessed it!) partner carry back to the start.  Partner Flapjack and repeat.  #CrowdPleaser

And finally, time for some #Caterpillar: PAX start out in a line, all hit the low plank position spaced out a bit, and hold it.  The PAX in back bunny hops over each PAX until they hit the end, and they hit the plank while the next guy starts the bunny hop.  Continue inching along all the way to the end of the field!  #ManyMidWifeNoises here.  But, great work men, we made the full distance. And the wet ground felt great!

At this stage the #Gassed light was on for all PAX so it was time to hit the six for some Mary

Workout 3: Mary and Plank

  • Dolly x 20 IC
  • Low Flutter x 20 IC
  • Rosalita x 20 IC
  • High Flutter x 20 IC

Mosey back to the water fountain, then a DAS Indian run to the shovel flags with a  Cruiser or Canon-called #Jailbreak to finish.

Cool down with a little Plank O Rama to wrap things up:

  • Regular
  • Right arm high
  • Left arm high
  • Right arm, Left leg
  • Left arm, Right leg
  • Recover!!

Something approaching 2 miles, much of it loaded.

#CountORama / #NameORama

8 PAX total, with 6 DD’s and 5 3D’s (early morning ruckers).  Sadly, no FNGs to share the pain.  ABH!!  Thanks Inferno for the camerawork!

#BoM (Ball of Man)

YHC took us out with a thanks for those around us who challenge and motivate us to be better than we are, and allow us to challenge them.

Announcements: All kinds of good stuff coming up.

  • Father’s Day Convergence > Saturday, June 17th > Memorial Park (The Hogg).  Normal 0600-0700 and 0700-0800 workouts followed by the 2.0s joining us 0800-0830 and Ms to join for breakfast immediately following.  Invitations to all “Ms” (significant others) and “2.0s” (kids) are highly encouraged, and this would be a chance for more 2ndF.  Need hard commits on BAND > Cruiser bringing breakfast tacos, YHC has kid/adult beverages, Britney bringing donuts, Canon bringing coffee. #MarkYourCalendars. This is going to be a good one guys, make plans to be there.  You’ll finally be able to introduce your M to all these dudes that you spend so much time with.
  • Growruck 03– DRIVER NEEDED > New Orleans June 9-11 combines F3 Grow School with a GoRuck Tough.  This is a custom GoRuck event, which has been specifically designed for F3 to help reinforce the Leadership Development training that the PAX will be exposed to over the course of the GR03. Ruck training is underway – to join the chatter on BAND.
  • Houston Tough Mudder > Nov 11-12th, 2017 >5 Miles, 13 Obstacles, 1 Extraordinary Experience. Even dirtier than the Spartan Race, but just as much of a 2nd F team building experience.  More info here.#CSAUP
  • Houston Spartan Sprint > March 24th, 2018 > 3-5 miles, 20-23 Obstacles. The Reebok Spartan Sprint: This is our shortest distance. It is perfect for athletes of all levels; from Spartan first timers to seasoned racers. The race is a fantastic test of your physical ability, but an even better 2nd F experience.  More info here.#CSAUP
  • Twitter/BAND:We have a good comms system going for F3 Houston via Twitter and BAND.  Get on either and look up F3 for regular updates and #Mumblechatter. Inferno or one of the other PAX (YHC included) can also help get you hooked up.

  • Seriously steamy workout. Ten counts were in full effect Good work men!
  • T’claps to both Britney and Cruiser who got the pleasure of carrying YHC during the Hunter’s Extravaganza. In typical Cruiser fashion, rather than run from pain he stepped up and asked for more #RespectRespect
  • Good to see Cowboys back with the PAX!  Welcome back.
  • Had a good Coffeteria session following. A round of Beck’s finest made for a stellar cool down, and a nice start to a Saturday.  Enjoyed it fellas!
