12 PAX at #TheHogg this morning for some old favorites, which included modified games from elementary school and church picnics. Given all the new faces and AOs in F3 Houston this year, YHC’s “old favorites” were new to many who were more than up to the challenge.
Condition
71 and humid but not miserable. Wet grass, mostly mowed and cleaned, but we found one that wasn’t.

The Thang
Warm up mosey around to St Theresa’s back lot. Along the way, butt kickers, high knees, carioke (R/L), backpedal, lunge walk, and tin soldiers.

A bit of joshing around as the PAX get loose.

Count off 1-2 and partner up.
Firstly:
- Partner 1 BTTW / Partner 2, run a lap. Flapjack.
- RnR x2 (3 total)
Secondly:
- Double Applesauce Bataan Death March around St. Theresa’s over to the Lost 40, where the Conitas are waiting.
Thirdly:
If YHC were to make a Top 5 list of old favorites, this would be in the top 3 – have never come up with a name for it. #crowdpleaser. Without a doubt, the 6-Minute SLAM (aka, Ric Flair) is YHC’s #1.

Pacecar and ? won, ahem finished first, on both wheelbarrows. Lots of midwife noises, inappropriate Kevin Spacey jokes, and very satisfied PAX.
Recovery pace Indian Run back to St Theresa’s back lot. Britney pointed out to the PAX that we’ve only got another 30 minutes left. Huzzah!
Fourthly:
Partner work:
- Partner 1 Yul Brenner Merkins, Partner 2 side shuffle to Big Cone by the garage door and back. Flapjack.
- RnR x2 (3 total). Merciful Q audible to Carioke for 2nd rep.
Recovery mosey back to…Lost Forty. Shots Fired! gallantly volunteered to find the green thing down by the Conitas.
Fifthly:
Whammo! A PAX throws the frisbee. The rest sprint while the frisbee is in the air. Upon hitting the ground, the thrower calls an animal walk. RnR until the Fresh Prince got his toss in, and the Q was smoked. YHC likes to keep these BBs positive, so I’ll just say the PAX have been spending more time in the gym that at the frisbee golf course.
Recovery mosey over to shovel flag area. Along the way, a little Q pep talk for the PAX to get their mind right. One more hard thing remains. YHC was trying.
Sixthly:
Crazy 8s (Not sure what they’re called, picked this one up at the Austin launch).
- Merkins and Parker Peters that add up to 8 (7 merkins civvy count, 1 parker peter IC, 6 M / 2 PP, etc)
Muchas gracias to Weedwacker for predetermined A-Q on last two PPs! YHC knew this was would be a challenge to finish so asked Weedwacker to jump in on counts if needed.

YHC has been on IR and DR for a while. Not quite Sad Clownville, but off the path. Nothing like a Q with some old favorites and dedicated PAX to get the juices going. Backhoe has a great partner today, really crushing it and inspiring YHC.
