20 PAX* were shocked and awed at F3 Houston’s first Father’s Day Convergence at #TheHogg ahead of Camo’s beatdown for the 2.0s and Ms.  When you warm up with 64 burpees, where do you go next?  Read on to find out…

*Original post-WO posting called out 21 PAX.  Must’ve been a mistake by YHC, or a few PAX who bolted early to pick up Ms and 2.0s for the Father’s Day Convergence.

T’claps to Scalpel for taking us out

YHC wanted to bring something back from GrowRuck 03 in NOLA for the rest of the PAX, and this was one of his favorites.  OBT kicked off the Saturday AM WO in NOLA with a Shock and Awe – apparently this is popular on the east coast.  What better way to get warmed up and get the heart pumping that by knocking out your daily dose of burpees in the first 5 minutes?  YHC can’t think of anything better.  Shock and Awe may have found a new home here in Houston.

YHC also knew he was on to something good when he noticed Duggar watching from the safety of the DuggarVahn to see the shock on the faces of the PAX as they began their “warm-up” with full body burpee assault.  Next time Duggar!

Knowing we were going to cut the WO a bit short, and having started a few minutes late following the 0600 beatdown from Cruiser, YHC was focused on packing some more high-quality calorie burn and sweat into 45 minutes.  YHC succeeded with ~570 calories gone and ~2.0 miles run #EarnYourBeerAndDonuts  Nothing better than giving your M and 2.0s a big sweaty hug right after a satisfying beatdown.

T’claps to the PAX for taking their DRP this morning.  Once you’re nice and warmed up, everything else is easy!  It was great to mix some of the PAX from The Yard with regulars at The Hogg.  We put on a strong show for the crowds that began to convene at The Hogg for other Father’s Day celebrations – men’s (?) softball tournie with massive bbq cookout and the regular Camp Gladiator.

Houston Spartan Sprint > March 24th, 2018 > 3-5 miles, 20-23 Obstacles. The Reebok Spartan Sprint: This is our shortest distance. It is perfect for athletes of all levels; from Spartan first timers to seasoned racers.
