Mosey back to Flags and circle up for Q O’rama.  We had all PAX who had not Q’d lead us through exercises and they did great.  The only stipulation was that their choice of exercise had to be in cadence.

Based on conversations we have been having in the Katy region, I wanted to use this Q to be intentional which meant Spicy Tater had to show up.  Generally, 20 minutes of heavy metal gets me in the zone but I arrived a bit early and got 45 mins of Pantera pumped through the veins.

At road crossings, we reinforced that safety trumps the need to hurry.  One mistake can have consequences that none of us want to face.  Both street crossings we stopped and waited for the walk sign.  In our AO, this is challenging as the lights do not react quickly so you end up waiting several minutes to cross. If you are the Q this is your responsibility so plan the time in your workout.

Post workout, my Kingdom AO CO-Q Beetlejuice and I took the time to share our thoughts on what we need to be focused on in 2020.  In order to capture the largest audience, we had parking lot coffeteria (t’claps BoP & RH for helping out).

Abbreviated Topics from Beetejuice and Tater:

1F – Get back to the standard on cadence calls and PAX is responsible for holding accountable.  APFT is making a comeback and we added a Co-Q to help facilitate.  APFT Co-Qs are now KFC, JR Ewing and Full House.  VQs need to be scheduled a couple weeks out so the proper training and assistance is provided for a successful Q. Expected Q rotation is once/month and plan the workout.

2F – Attendance of Happy Hours – be intentional in attending. Katy Area AOs have new cards on order (T’claps Beetlejuice) so chip in as you can.  If you have something you would like to pose as a 2F event then get in touch with IPA (2F Q).

3F – We need a 3F Q.

Thoughts for other AOs – If you have not utilized parking lot coffeteria then you are missing out on the power of this.  Also, this is the first time that I recall of the Kingdom making time to have a focused discussion with the Pax on the areas we need to improve.  We received almost immediate results with several Pax saying they learned a lot from the discussion which reminded me that we need to be better at teaching new guys the lingo of F3.
