Line up in Squads (1-4) for a squad exercise battle which included 1 min of the exercises below which were chosen by squad.
- Squad 1 – Squats (victor – S3)

- Squad 3 – C/H Squat (victor – S2)
- Squad 4 – High knees (victor – S1)

My main goal of the workout was to create an environment where the PAX could compete with each other. I occasionally try to have a team format in my Qs as I believe men in our society are losing the basic fundamentals of competition and the benefit received. One that came to mind while designing the workout was Morale. Would the squad with the highest morale at the competition? Would teams actually bond and want to win?
Also, I have been thinking a lot about the culture within F3 – Katy. I firmly believe that we have a strong core and foundation but there is always room to grow. What if every Q truly had the goal of sharpening his brothers? As the Q, it is easy to focus on delivering an epic physical beat down. “I’ll show them and make them do 1,000 SSHs.” But what have you actually sharpened by doing that? I do believe sharpening happens through physical exercise but when was the last time you sharpened your brothers mentally during your Q.
Challenge yourself as the Q to lead your brothers and sharpen them for life’s challenges.
