At 1900 11/13/17 Beta agreed to take on the Q for The Hogg the next day as no one else had signed on yet. He sent a message in Band asking if I’d help Co-Q by “doing the paperwork” (I learned from him, that’s why it’s a bit late) and I agreed without hesitation, but not knowing what I’d signed up for exactly.
As Beta is wrapping up the disclaimer before the BD he tells me, “You’re going to be in the circle with me today. We’ll swap out leading each exercise. It’ll be easy.” I have some slight reservations, but I’m here so let’s do it. He leads the first exercise no problem. My turn – I forget the movement, fail to notify that it’s in cadence, and give a Britney count on what’s supposed to be a slow stretch. Needless to say, the mumble chatter was strong.
Once I got the nerves shaken out everything went well and I appreciate Beta giving me the “Beta and Switch” to make me jump in the circle to help Q. I’ve begun planning my VQ for the near future and look forward to all the grief I’ll catch that morning.
