Fire ants! Our FNG had terrible luck and stepped into a fire ant mound. Thanks Camo for making sure the pesky varmints were removed as quickly as possible. #NicknameOpportunity
- Agility Drill – hop along the parking lot pipe centerline and dodged parked cars. I kind of galloped – not sure how the PAX managed it. They looked sweaty at the end.

Brit – Shirt order and patches. See mudgear site.
TClaps to Inferno for f3houston.com. Also, Inferno recognized as region Q for Comz (Thanks Whiskey for following Rogers Rules of Order. #Parliamentarian)
PAX noticed that most exercises were in 17 reps. Why? The year 2017 is a little over half done. You still have time to exceed your goals for the year. Make 2017 great!
Hydration Challenge – try to drink same number of ounces of water as half your weight in pounds (i.e. Drink 100 oz. for a 200 lb. man). For reference 6 bottles of water is around 100 ounces. Speaking of hydration…
Thirsty Third Thursday (TTT) – Join us starting at 5:30 tonight at Kirby Ice House, 333 Eastside Street, Houston, TX 77098.
YHC took us out. A true Ball of Men, not a circle. #ShouldersPlease Prayers for those in recovery and recovering. Prayers for calm hearts, clear minds, to be better husbands, fathers, business men, leaders. Giving thanks Hammertime style. Led an echo prayer where the PAX repeated:
“As iron, sharpens iron, so one man, sharpens another.” #Proverbs27:17
“God first, others second, I am third.” Amen

COMZ CHANNEL
For those few of you who have not yet signed on – get onto BAND today, either via smartphone app (links here: apple / android), or via the website. This is our new preferred Comz Channel going forward – download it and join the band called “F3 Houston” to get all the info on F3 Houston. Here is where you can learn who are the upcoming Qs, sign up yourself to be the Q, read our Backblasts for each WO, learn details of our next CSAUPs, and as usual, make fun of the guys in the Pax in general with some good ol’ Mumble Chatter.
NakedManMoleskin:
Thanks for the opportunity to Q this morning. I learned a lesson or two about handing a large crowd. Great problem. I had to throw out parts of my overly-complicated plans on the fly. Splitting the PAX into two groups to go on opposite sides of the pool parking lot worked pretty well. It didn’t make sense to the PAX though. I think this is that the F3 Lexicon calls honeypotting:
HONEYPOTTING: To communicate in ways that increase confusion. (This could happen with contradicting or unclear messages.) Examples: “Count off by threes, now pair up.” “Tighten up and spread out.” “Start at the stop sign.” Etc.
There wasn’t a natural advantage to pairing up in A-B. I didn’t communicate any reason for the partner. In hindsight, I would have asked the partners to encourage each other. That may have helped give the pairs a purpose. I saw some high fives as partners passed, so the PAX figured it out. Good work men!
Also, I was shredded physically before we completed the workout. Glasses fogged. Sucking wind. Thanks Britney for challenging me to finish out the last of the 17 burpees. I might have let that set go incomplete.
I appreciate the PAX for your enthusiasm!
JR Ewing
