WHAT IS F3?
The mission of F3 is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.
Our five core principles state all workouts are FREE OF CHARGE, and workouts are open to ALL MEN. They also are held OUTDOORS— rain or shine, heat or cold. Men who participate also LEAD the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. Finally, workouts end with a CIRCLE OF TRUST.

F3 Houston has grown leaps and bounds since its launch on the 1st of October 2016. If you are new to F3, or considering posting with us for your first workout, you may be asking yourself a few questions. Here are the Top 10 FAQs we have put together for you.
Feel free to reach out to us any time if you have any other questions – or simply, join us at one of our many locations/Area of Operations (AOs). Posting with us for a workout is really the only way to learn more about what F3 is all about. Did we mention that it’s FREE ?!?
There are now almost 1,100 scheduled workouts a week, as part of the F3 Nation, at over 600 locations in 21 states. All this makes F3 THE LARGEST NON-PROFIT MEN’S WORKOUT IN THE COUNTRY with nearly 16,000 men considering themselves F3 brothers nationwide. (FiA is a similar organization for women)

How do I Q?
Click here for our Q-101 page, which will give you all the background and tools you need. The Q is what F3 calls the leader of each Workout. A Leader who takes responsibility for the Outcome. Check out the F3 Podcasts (episode 03) for more background.
F3 is peer led and F3 hopes that you will step up to lead ASAP. To become the Q for a particular workout, just announce it – either during a workout, afterwards during the COT, or you can contact us with the date and Area of Operation (AO) for which you want to lead and you’ll officially be the Q.
** IMPORTANT Q-POINTS ** Post your BackBlast (#BB) on BAND, and the #F3Counts on Twitter and BAND for each WO with total number of Pax, and get all the FNG'(s) contact info updated for our records (contact us for details on FNG updates).
What’s all this Ruck stuff?
Check out our F3 Houston Ruck-101 page for everything you need to know. The crux of it is simple… you really only need two things to get started: a Ruck (your old backpack will work) and something heavy. If you’re going any significant distance – remember water as well! Typically, in a bladder/camelbak, but regular water bottles work great too. That’s all you need! #StayHydrated
RUCK•ING [VERB] – carrying a weighted pack on your back.
It implies action, energy, and purpose.
Rucking requires strength, endurance, and character — and builds it, too. Hiking is rucking in the mountains, urban hiking is simply called rucking. Rucking can be done at any weight/speed. Another benefit is that you’ll burn tons more calories the more weight you carry.
