Mosey to DEATH VALLEY
Death Valley is a pun for the PAX; a valley between two small bridges where we utilize the embankment to strengthen our bodies. Unfortunately, Death Valley is a very real place to a lot of people. It symbolizes the pit of despair they are in: one they cannot climb out of. Without a support group, these feelings of hopelessness may lead that individual to make life altering decisions. This person may be standing right next to you today. Often times, those closest to someone who is depressed have no idea the silent pain in their lives. Additionally, 22 veterans commit suicide every day…22 EVERY DAY. YHC’s goal today was to show that no matter how much pain you are in, you can crawl out of Death Valley through the support and encouragement of your brothers.
Modified Super 22s:
- The Merkin x2 OYO
- BBSU x2 OYO
- Crawl Bear out of Death Valley

It is unique to have a group like this. Studies show that the average person only has 4.1 “close friends” throughout their life. These are the lifelong friends who you can tell anything to and always count on to be there through the tough times. If you are reading this BackBlast, you literally have THOUSANDS of “close friends”. This support group is severely under utilized in most instances. Your BOTG (Brothers of The Gloom) are here to support you and build you up. Never have I seen another group who accepts everyone for who they are regardless of race, religion, upbringing, personality, or any other characteristic. EVERYONE is welcomed with open arms. We are her for each other as brothers.
With this, I challenge all of you to utilize this resource. Gone is the stigma that you are a guy, so suck it up and move on. No longer should you be afraid to share your feelings because of the concern that you are less of a man because of it. Get the weight off your shoulders! Be vulnerable and open your heart to your brothers. Whatever darkness you are going through, your brothers are here to support you.
YHC has had some personal challenges lately, and the support of my BOTG have helped pull me through. Knowing that I can call on any one of you, night or day, makes me feel whole when I would have otherwise felt isolated and alone. I deeply love you all, and thank you for the impact you have all had on my life.
